Where Are You in Your Recovery?

Most athletes who come to us are in one of these four situations.

You just got hurt and you are not sure how bad it is

Something gave out and now you are guessing. We evaluate it, tell you what we think is going on, and tell you if you need imaging or a physician before therapy makes sense.

You had surgery and you are cleared for therapy

You have a protocol and a timeline. What you need is someone who follows it and understands what your sport will ask of you at the end of it.

The same injury keeps coming back

It settles down, you go back, it returns. That pattern usually points to something upstream that never got addressed.

You are cleared to play but you do not trust it yet

The tissue healed. The confidence did not. That gap is real, and it is trainable.

Not sure which one fits you? Call us (561) 834-3330 and we will tell you straight.

What Sports Physical Therapy Involves

Sports physical therapy is rehabilitation built around the demands of your sport rather than around general recovery.

Getting out of pain is the starting point, not the finish line. The goal is returning to the field, the course, the pool, or the road with the strength, mobility, and control your sport actually requires.

Treatment may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, functional movement training, neuromuscular re-education, balance and coordination work, agility training, and progressive return-to-sport activity.

In our experience, the athletes who end up back in our clinic with the same problem a year later are usually the ones whose first round of rehab stopped when the pain stopped. Strength testing, mechanics, and sport-specific loading came late or never came at all.

What a Full Recovery Gives You Back

Return to your sport without guessing

Restore mobility and movement control

Lower the risk of the same injury returning

Get a realistic timeline instead of a vague one

Rebuild the strength you lost during time off

Move with better mechanics than before the injury

Train with confidence instead of caution

Sports Injuries and Conditions We Treat

We treat athletes at every level, from weekend competitors to collegiate players to people who simply have no intention of stopping.

Do not see your injury here? Call us. We will tell you whether we are the right fit, or point you toward who is.

Care Built Around Your Sport

A golfer, a runner, and a swimmer with shoulder pain do not need the same program. Ours are built around what the sport actually asks of your body.

Golf physical therapy and TPI-based performance training

Dr. Wieland is Titleist Performance Institute Certified, so we assess how your mobility, strength, and rotational control are affecting your swing. Useful whether you are playing in pain or just losing distance.

Running injuries and movement mechanics

We evaluate the full kinetic chain from feet to spine, not only the spot that hurts. Gait and mechanics analysis, running-specific strength, and a graded return-to-running plan.

Swimming and shoulder-dominant sports

Shoulder stability, rotator cuff strength, thoracic mobility, and the postural control that repeated overhead volume demands.

Tennis elbow and repetitive strain injuries

Lateral elbow tendinopathy is not limited to tennis players. We see it in golfers, lifters, and anyone doing repetitive gripping or manual work.

Dr. Cabezas competes as a triathlete and coaches endurance athletes, so when a runner tells us their training block fell apart six weeks out from a race, we know exactly what that costs them.

How We Work With Athletes

No mystery and no generic protocol. Here is the actual sequence.

The therapist who evaluates you is the therapist who treats you every visit through discharge. Nobody is reading your case off a chart for the first time in week four.

How We Know You Are Ready to Return to Your Sport

What we check before clearing you

We look at whether the injured side holds up against the healthy side under load, whether you can produce and absorb force in the movements your sport demands, whether your mechanics stay intact once you are tired, and whether you can do all of it without hesitating.

When we tell you to wait

Sometimes the honest answer is that you are not ready, and that is not what an athlete wants to hear two weeks before a season starts. We say it anyway. In our experience, the athletes who get hurt a second time are usually the ones who were cleared by a calendar rather than by anything measurable.

Time since injury or surgery is the most common way athletes get cleared, and on its own it is the least reliable. Four months out does not mean the leg is ready. It means four months have passed.

What It Costs and How Payment Works

We will be direct with you, because most clinics are not.

MotionPro does not accept insurance. We are a cash-pay practice.

Here is what that buys you. Your appointment is one-on-one with a doctor of physical therapy for the full session. You see the same therapist every visit. There is no rotating staff, no shared floor time, and no session cut short because three other patients are waiting on the same clock.

For athletes, that matters more than it does in general rehab. Return-to-sport work depends on someone watching how you move under load, and that only happens if someone is actually watching.

In our experience, athletes ask about insurance early, and many still choose to work with us once they see what a full session includes and how much faster progress moves when someone is paying attention the whole time.

Call (561) 834-3330 and we will walk you through current rates and what your plan would look like.

Why Athletes Choose MotionPro

Sports rehab depends almost entirely on the person delivering it.

Someone has to notice that your knee collapses slightly on the fifth rep and not the first. Someone has to decide whether today is a day to push or a day to back off. Someone has to know what your sport looks like at full speed, not just what a protocol says week eight should include.

That work does not happen in a clinic running three patients at once.

We built this practice the opposite way. One patient at a time, in a quiet space, with the same doctor of physical therapy from evaluation through return to sport.

Our athletes range from high school and collegiate players to lifelong runners, golfers, and swimmers. The programs look nothing alike. The level of attention does not change.

What Our Patients Say

I have been to many physiotherapists over the years with a wide range of experiences. MotionPro Physical Therapy was absolutely the best by far. Appointments are 1 hour of dedicated time and individual attention. The therapists are truly skilled and the exercises and other treatments they apply (such as stretching and/or massage for exampled) are based on the patient's individual needs. The care is truly outstanding and the results I got were exceptional.
